TURTLETV GUIDES

Watch Tokens, explained.

Updated October 14, 2026

Watch Tokens cover active watching in TurtleTV. Here is how time is counted, how rewards and Premium refills work, and how to keep the right balance across devices.

One token, 30 minutes

Each token covers 30 minutes of active watching. Pausing does not use tokens. For example, a 90-minute uninterrupted watch uses three tokens' worth of time. The balance and remaining-time display show what is available for your account; each participant should check their own balance.

Tokens pay for TurtleTV's watch-together features, not access to the underlying movie or streaming service. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another person.

Earning a token

Where rewarded ads are available, the Watch Tokens page offers 1 token for a qualifying ad reward. Check the displayed reward before choosing Watch ad. You can decline or close an ad; closing before its reward is earned does not add a token. After a reward is earned, wait for confirmation before returning to your party.

If the page offers Confirm token, use that button to retry confirmation of the reward already earned. You do not need to immediately watch a second ad. No available ads, ad blocking, or an unsupported browser can prevent an ad from appearing.

Ad availability: web rewarded ads are not yet enabled for this launch. If you see “Ads currently unavailable,” there is no ad to complete. Check back later; this message does not mean your account has lost tokens.

Premium refills

Eligible Premium accounts can refill their balance up to 50 tokens every 24 hours. That is up to 25 hours of active watch time at the current rate. It is a refill to 50, not 50 extra tokens on top of the existing balance, and it is not an unlimited balance.

The page shows whether a refill is available, the balance is full, or you need to wait until the next refill time. Automatic refill at zero applies when eligible. Other Premium benefits vary by platform; read the plan details before purchasing.

Premium removes the need to earn those refill tokens through TurtleTV ads. It does not remove ads placed by YouTube, Netflix, or another streaming service.

Keeping the same balance

Use the same TurtleTV account on the app, extension, and website. When starting from the extension, open Watch Tokens through its token widget so the page can use the matching wallet. The website will flag an account mismatch instead of applying actions to a different account.

A guest balance can be tied to one browser or installation. Before clearing storage or changing devices, sign in and check the resulting balance. Signing into an existing account may select that account's balance; it does not automatically merge every guest balance.

After a refill or reward, return to the extension, refresh its balance if necessary, and select Resume when offered. If your balance still looks wrong, check the account before making another purchase.

Managing Premium

Use Manage subscription in the extension's Account view or Premium tab when it is available. The destination follows the original purchase: Apple, Google Play, or web billing. A Lifetime entitlement has no recurring renewal to cancel. See the billing troubleshooting guide if the destination or account is unexpected.

Current prices and renewal terms are shown at checkout. Never send passwords, payment-card details, or sign-in links to support.
